Weighing Your Mail to Figure Out Postage
The overwhelming majority of people aren’t going to spend a lot of time weighing out their envelopes, instead just assuming that pretty much anything that makes it into a standard sized envelope (measuring 11.5” x 5”) is going to be covered by a single stamp.
And while the odds are pretty good that most folks are going to be good to go, those that have to send a lot of paper in a single envelope (or are including something else in their letter) may have to actually way things out to figure new postage costs before they drop that letter in their mailbox
